# Google Summer of Code 2026: Ideas

This page contains all ideas to be vetted and potentially developed under the GSoC 2026 program.

* OpenVPN (userspace)
  * add Multi-Path TCP support
  * write minimal P2P client driving DCO interface (HARD)
  * support multiple subnets on the server (and allow assigning each client to a different one)
  * extend client-to-client routing logic with system routing table lookup
  * create a library encapsulating the whole DCO logic (libovon-dco)

* ovpn (Linux kernel module)
  * add Multi-Path TCP support
  * add IGMP snooping for multicast traffic forwarding
  * implement session key negotiation in DCO
  * add support for the MSSFIX logic
