# Community Forum The community forum can be found at https://forums.openvpn.net/ # Registering and participating If you are completely new to the forums, you can go to https://forums.openvpn.net and register with your email address there. After verifying your email address, you can then begin posting. All new posts need to be vetted by a moderator on the forums, so it may take some time before it becomes visible. If you had an account on the previous iteration of the forum (before February 2026) and want to reclaim access to your account, simply use the 'forgot password' functionality and verify your email address. You can then continue using your account. - Spam will lead to an immediate and permanent ban of your account, no appeals possible. - It is expected that you assign proper tags to your posts, so that it appears in the right places and attracts the attention of the right people to answer any questions you may have. - It is not allowed to advertise VPN providers on the forums. It is however allowed to ask whether a particular provider is any good, if they have any limitations or problems, or can work in certain areas and conditions, in the appropriate section on the forum for those kinds of questions. - Questions regarding the functioning of the forums can be asked on the forums in the Forum Support section. # Account or post deletion Post deletion: Posts that violate the rules, such as those containing swearing, racism, illegal content, spam, and so on, are removed at the discretion of the moderators and administrators of the forum. If content is found that contains things like private key, passwords, personally identifiable information, we will try to censor or remove this. Ultimately though we are not responsible for what people choose to post publicly. If you posted something you want deleted, post this with the 'forum support' tag. Account deletion: If you want to put in a request for your account to be deleted, do so by posting with the 'forum support' tag. The moderators and administrators of the forum will then take care of it. Your account will be deleted, but your posts will remain present, and reference to your account will be removed from the posts. This is to ensure that we don't end up with situations where a forum discussion holds a solution to a problem, and then the solution is deleted because of account deletion.
