Description
Hello.
Attempted to do an Ubuntu release upgrade from 20.04 LTS (focal) to 22.04 LTS (jammy), got this error:
Error during update
A problem occurred during the update. This is usually some sort of
network problem, please check your network connection and retry.
W:Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is
therefore disabled by default., W:See apt-secure(8) manpage for
repository creation and user configuration details., W:No Hash entry
in Release file
/var/lib/apt/lists/partial/build.openvpn.net_debian_openvpn_stable_dists_jammy_InRelease,
E:The repository 'http://build.openvpn.net/debian/openvpn/stable
jammy InRelease?' provides only weak security information.
Looks like https://build.openvpn.net/debian/openvpn/stable/dists/jammy/Release indeed does not contain any hashes (MD5Sum, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512 are all empty).
But for all other Ubuntu versions, the corresponding Release file does have them. e.g. https://build.openvpn.net/debian/openvpn/stable/dists/focal/Release, https://build.openvpn.net/debian/openvpn/stable/dists/xenial/Release
Kindly asking the PPA maintainers to look into this. Thank you very much.

I am experiencing this as well. For now, I changed my apt source to focal until jammy is fixed.
