Description

When OpenVPN is up and running, connectivity sometimes fails, so OpenVPN tries to reconnect, but then it doesn't work because it wants to connect to other IP for same hostname (randomizing). 'netstat -nr' shows server IP different than one connecting to.

version 2.1_rc19

Keywords: round robin dns different ip removed

What is the result you get if you do:

$ dig {hostname}

where you replace {hostname} with the hostname you have in your configuration file? To protect your privacy, you may replace some of the hostname and domain name parts + the 3 first "parts" of the IP addresses ... 192.168.100.4 -> xxx.yyy.zzz.4 and www.openvpn.net -> www.example.com
