Description
Description:
On OS X Mavericks, when Open VPN Connect is showing its progress in connecting, it shows a notification in a dark black box in the top right hand corner. This overlaps OS X Notifications and cannot be cancelled (the user has to wait for it to fade out). Fully supporting OS X Notifications provides a way to avoid these issues and provide a cleaner user experience.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch OpenVPN Connect.
- Select a VPN server to connect to and click connect
- Notice how a black notification box appears in the top right hand corner of the screen
- If a new notification is received by the OS (e.g. for a message or email), the black notification overlaps the notification
Suggested Fix:
Support Local Push Notifications as specified in the Apple Developer Notification Programming Guide here:
https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/NetworkingInternet/Conceptual/RemoteNotificationsPG/Introduction.html
There are support videos here:

OpenVPN Inc does not want to receive any feedback for the "Connect"
OpenVPN clients via the community bug trackers (here and in GH issues).
