OpenVPN for iOS is not working when run on iPhone 5S, while same setup works on iPhone 5

Observations done while: $ tail -f /var/log/openvpn/openvpn.log below:

When clicking on for the preferred profile

For the iPhone 5S: the icon switches to ON, but nothing in the logs on the server.
For the iPhone 5: the icon switches to 1, and the connection becomes active.

Just wanted to say, this is a known issue and it should be a fix in the works. I am not part of the project but it is said in here: https://forums.openvpn.net/topic13838-30.html

However it says here that Version is 2.2.2 and I think this bug is on version 1.0.1 or at least the last app store version is 1.0.1

Latest OpenVPN Connect in Apple Appstore should have fixed this problem, at least for the vast majority of people. There are some additional iOS fixes in the queue.
