Description

I shot a video that will illustrate my problem. Basically i want to make an "invisible" openvpn tap adapter, so i set the adapter characteristic to 0x89 in OemWin2k file ( NCF_VIRTUAL = 0x01 + NCF_HIDDEN = 0x08 + NCF_HAS_UI = 0x80). Then i deleted the original tap adapter (with standard settings) and added this adapter (with 0x89). It works fine until you make a restart of the server.

After restart, i need to uninstall the "hidden 0x89" adapter, after that install the standard adapter (i mean with standard settings), after that uninstall it, and then finally install the "hidden" with my 0x89 setting in order to get openvpn to work. I use the latest version of OpenVPN http://swupdate.openvpn.org/community/releases/openvpn-install-2.3_rc1-I003-i686.exe

Um, why do you need/want a hidden/invisible TAP-windows driver? For malware I can see the point, but not for OpenVPN :).
