Description
My OS is Windows 8 Pro RTM gotten through IEEE DreamSpark? Premium.
I can connect to my VPN server without problem.
Unfortunately, I can't disconnect from my VPN server normally.
The VPN client freezes at this log message line:
C:\Windows\system32\route.exe DELETE 10.71.32.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 10.71.32.150
However, if I use Windows 7, there is no the disconnect problem.
Could fix this bug on Windows 8?

Sorry, the frozen problem at the line:
C:\Windows\system32\route.exe DELETE 10.71.32.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 10.71.32.150
could be irrelevant to "run as administrator."
However, I certainly met many frozen problems on Windows 8...

The OpenVPN GUI frozen problem could be not only related to Windows 8,
but also the version of OpenVPN.
I found the frozen problem doesn't appear with OpenVPN 2.2.2 on Windows 8.
However, the frozen problem remains with OpenVPN 2.3_beta1 on Windows 8.
And in my experience, OpenVPN 2.3-alpha3 and Windows 7 have no the frozen problem.

Replying to strfr:
can confirm v2.3_alpha2 GUI freezes on Win8 64bit
By the way, my OS is also Windows 8 64-bit.
The frozen issue still exists in OpenVPN 2.3_rc1.

I think we have to have a look at this before 2.4. Anybody else having this issue? I'm trying to understand how many people are affected...

Replying to zxvc:
I solved this problem by setting "Run as administrator" to all exe files:
openvpn.exe
openvpn-gui.exe
openvpnserv.exe
, not only openvpn-gui.exe.
Unfortunately, when I reconnect to the VPN sever after the disconnection,
the OpenVPN client stuck at these lines:
Sun Sep 16 21:24:21 2012 Data Channel Decrypt: Cipher 'BF-CBC' initialized with 128 bit key
Sun Sep 16 21:24:21 2012 Data Channel Decrypt: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication
Sun Sep 16 21:24:21 2012 Control Channel: TLSv1, cipher TLSv1/SSLv3 DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA, 1024 bit RSA
Sun Sep 16 21:24:21 2012 [server] Peer Connection Initiated with [AF_INET]140.115.xxx.xxx:1194
