Android: App disconnects when turning device in landscape mode

Description

1) Open the OpenVPN app in portrait mode (vertically)
2) Connect to a VPN
3) After the connection is successfully established, turn the phone in landscape mode (horizontally).
4) The Connection is disconnected immediately

OpenVPN Connect Version 3.1.0
Device: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F)
Android-Version: 8.0.0

Issue not present in 3.2.4 (5891) on Android 11 on Pixel 2 XL

OpenVPN Inc does not want to receive any feedback for the "Connect"
OpenVPN clients via the community bug trackers (here and in GH issues).
