Description

Greetings,

I have a private server OpenVPN connection that is working perfectly with iOS, MacOS and Linux clients. It was also working flawlessly until a recent update of ChromeOS and OpenVPN Connect for Android (from Google Play store). Now after a successful connection is established the connection locks up forcing me to disconnect OpenVPN Connect. The underlying wifi connection is functional, network doesn't require a restart.

When the lockup occurs there are no errors messages shown in the OpenVPN Connect logs. I have looked at file://var/log/* in ChromeOS and haven't been able to identify any log entries that correlate with the lock up. OpenVPN Connect remains green but no traffic passes.

This Chromebook/OpenVPN Connect was working fine with this .ovpn profile so it appears to be a change in OpenVPN Connect update or ChromeOS. My gut says that ChromeOS is blocking or messing with OpenVPN as the lockup is always 2 minutes but I cannot find proof.

Device: Chromebook
OS: Version 75.0.3770.88 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)
OpenVPN Connect: Version 3.0.5.(1816) downloaded from Google Play Store

I'm happy to pull logs and attach if someone suggests which logs to pull from. So far I cannot find any log entries that appear to pertain to the lockup.
