Variables route_net_gateway and route_vpn_gateway not set on server in topology subnet

Description
Variables $route_net_gateway and $route_vpn_gateway are not set on the server side when --topoloy subnet is used. (The client side does set these variables regardless of topology)
As per JJK's answer: Explicitly using route 10.8.0.0 255.255.255.0 in the server config solves this issue ..
