Description
On Windows Server 2012 I have issues with dropped packages, when I have enabled IP routing on the server (IPEnableRouter=1).
When I disable the routing, everything is fine and the rtt of each package is low as expected. Then I enable the routing without any other changes in the configs and the rtt of around 30% of packages goes >3000ms (from 40ms).
This is also the case if I only ping this OpenVPN server from a vpn client, so there should be no routing to the outside of the tunnel.
Now I switched back to version 2.3.18-I001 and the issue is gone. I use the same config for my tests with 2.4.8 and 2.3.18:
port 1194
proto udp
dev tun
comp-lzo
route-delay 20 10
ip-win32 netsh

Unfortunately, the OP Erikkolo will probably never return to this ticket due to email being broken.
For anybody else that finds they have a similar problem please see:

Milestone: | release 2.4.8 |
---|---|
Version: | OpenVPN 2.4.7 (Community Ed) → OpenVPN 2.4.8 (Community Ed) |
So what shall we do with this ticket? Close?
(It was definitely mislabeled, "milestone" is not for "I have found it in *this* version")
@tincantech: any ideas what could be causing this? You're The Windows Guy according to IRC :-)
