 The current stable release will always be in the ''Full stable support'' release type.  For each new major release, the previous major release will be fully supported as well for at least 6 months before being re-classified to ''Old stable support''.   Once a new major release arrives, the current stable release is considered to be an old stable release.  The old stable releases will only receive security and critical bug fixes only for ''at least'' 6 months after the new stable release.  Releases classified under the ''Old stable support'' will be there for at least 12 month before being re-classified to ''git tree only''.  The ''git tree only'' release type will also get updates for at least 12 months, but each security incident is evaluated independently.
