Planned date: October Sat. 25 - Sun. 26, 2025 (with October 24 and 27 as travel days)
Location
Meeting room in "Hotel Paradiso" in Napoli, Italy.
It is also possible to book a room directly at the "Hotel Paradiso", so that you can sleep and have breakfast in the same building. As of today (Aug 8th 2025) the cheapest room with breakfast should be 140EUR (VAT included). [NOTE: rooms at this rate may run out. Next rates will be 160 and 200EUR]
The city tax in Naples is 5.50€/day per person (to be paid on top of the room rate).
How to get there
Naples has it's own airport but another option might be a flight to Rome and ~2hrs of train to Naples.
How to reach the Hotel paradiso in Via Catullo 11, 80122 Naples (NA), Italy from Napoli Centrale railway station and from Naples Capodichino Airport:
🚉 From Napoli Centrale (Central Station)
Option 1: Metro Line 2 to Mergellina
Take Metro Line 2 from Piazza Garibaldi (connected to Napoli Centrale). Get off at Mergellina station (approx. 15 minutes). From there, walk (~20 minutes) or take a bus (e.g., line 151) toward Via Catullo 11 (about 2.5 km away).
Option 2: Bus Line 151
From Garibaldi – Attestamento, take bus 151 toward Posillipo/Sannazaro. Get off at Bruno‑Sannazaro. Walk about 5 minutes to Via Catullo 11. 🕒 ~40 minutes total | 💰 Around €1.20–€2.00
Option 3: Taxi
Travel time: about 11–15 minutes. Distance: ~9 km. Cost: €25–€30.
✈️ From Naples Capodichino Airport
Option 1: Alibus + Metro/Train Take the Alibus shuttle to Piazza Garibaldi (~20–25 minutes, €5).
Then either:
Take Metro Line 2 to Mergellina and walk/bus to Via Catullo 11, OR Take Bus 151 from Piazza Garibaldi to Bruno‑Sannazaro, then walk. 🕒 Around 50–60 minutes total | 💰 ~€6–€9
Option 2: Taxi
Travel time: 15–20 minutes. Distance: ~12–13 km. Cost: €35–€45 depending on time of day and luggage.
🗺️ Notes: The nearest funicular station to Via Catullo 11 is Sant’Antonio, but it's usually not required unless coming from uphill areas like Vomero. Local tickets (valid for metro/bus within Naples): Single ride: around €1.20–€1.50.
